Adam Sherman learned guitar at age eight. His vocal training with Merrill Shea at McClosky Voice Studio, Boston, was followed by Jazz Vocal Master Class taught by renown jazz vocalist Shawnn Monteiro. A founding member of A&M recording artists Private Lightning, and nominee for six Boston Music Awards, his voice, guitar, and songwriting played an important role in the inspired music of Private Lightning, The Souls, and his critically acclaimed solo CD "Songbird".  Adam currently teaches voice and guitar at his Cambridge MA studio, and performs with lo-fi bohemian band Subpar Co-star.
